Cookie Policy

Effective March 2026

The short version

We don't track you. We set exactly one cookie, strictly required for keeping you signed in. No advertising, no analytics, no third parties.

01What We Use

Session cookie (strictly necessary)

When you sign in to your account, a single session cookie is set to keep you authenticated during your visit. This cookie:

  • Contains no personal information beyond an opaque, randomly generated session identifier
  • Is deleted when your session expires or you sign out
  • Is transmitted only over HTTPS
  • Is set with the SameSite=Strict flag, which prevents it from being sent in cross-site requests
  • Is never shared with, or accessible to, any third party

That is the only cookie we set, and no consent banner is required for it. Under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, strictly necessary cookies are exempt because they are essential to a service you have explicitly requested.

02What We Do Not Use

We do not use:

  • Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any equivalent)
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind
  • Social media tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, Twitter/X tag, LinkedIn Insight, or similar)
  • Third-party scripts of any kind on our pages
  • Local storage or IndexedDB for tracking purposes

03Application

The Orrery does not use cookies. It does not communicate with Kinoto servers during normal use and stores all state locally on your device. No browser storage mechanism is used for tracking or identification purposes.
